Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe audio recordings into text, maintaining high standards of grammar, punctuation, and formatting
- Edit and proofread transcripts to ensure completeness and fidelity to source material
- Apply time-stamping where required, ensuring synchronization with the audio
- Utilise transcription software including Express Scribe and oTranscribe to optimise productivity and accuracy
- Meet deadlines consistently while collaborating remotely with team members and project managers to ensure quality assurance
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to distinguish different accents and speech nuances
- Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute with a strong emphasis on accuracy
- Proficient use of transcription tools such as Express Scribe, oTranscribe, or similar software
- Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, with keen attention to detail
- Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines reliably
